windy and leccy still on

This morning we set off for shels when everyone had arrived (leccy still on) had a nice morning playing and I did 8 trips to the loo with mindee, but no wet pants so good...I was knackered though...shels got stairs...I'm in a bungalow....must have lost a stone running up and down stairs to the loo...lol

Came home (leccy still on) and when mindee 2 left went to Llangefni to deposit cheques and nipped to asda to waste half an hour (and use the loo) before school pick up

Home to play (leccy still on)....see the pattern here....the letter said it would be off 9 til 3.....it didn't go off at all...no flashing clocks!!!! and there was me trying to stay out all day thinking we'd be cold and tealess!!!

We were cold, its been blowing a hooly all day....still is....next doors trampoline was in the hedge this morning, but we had no damage...or not yet!!!
Great excitement at 4 o'clock, heavy hailstones and everywhere turned white....for 5 minutes...oh well perhaps that's the snow done with then!!!

Had lots of letters for courses today...so trying to decide whether to do some...not really got the time or the energy........

Phoned cssiw to check they'd got my variation letter and it was ok and my inspectors off sick...nooooo.....hope the letters been looked at.....not much I can do though

Also had a bt bill for £66....eh....I changed to orange months ago and not supposed to be paying bt for line rental.....or calls!!.....phoned up and spoke to someone I could hardly understand...sigh...he said something about sending a final bill and having to give 14 days notice (at least I think that's what he said) I explained I'd cancelled my direct debit and spoken to them when I'd changed over...but no idea what he was babbling about...so decided to wait for the final bill and meanwhile get out the stuff to prove when I cancelled and deal with it again....hopefully with someone I can understand.....so frustrating.....my patience seems to be short at the moment....mind you I have bags of it so it's not as bad as it sounds....just think I need a few days off...ha ha....as if....looks like I'm working at least 3 days half term....was sort of hoping for a bit of a break....never mind...not long til my easter hols.........................

bloodbaths, babies and no tea!!!

Yesterday we went to little fishes and iced and decorated biscuits...great messy fun....one of mine did red icing and I put a bit too much in...result being little M looking like she'd been in a bloodbath as she put her face and hands in it!!...she was still pink when she went home...it just wouldn't come off!!
Took 1 to nursery, picked one from school and then after calling home to collect another one took M home as her bro wasn't well and mum didn't want to come out...so lots of miles...
Folks for tea and I had to do a sharp exit to a meeting....was supposed to be sorting out portfolios...ended up more as chat!! but enjoyable all the same.

Today we went to music club, picked up O, then home for dinner and off to school..the day just flew. Big O is now saying Debbie all day long...cute......little O is gorgeous and such a good baby...I could eat him...I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love my job xxxxx

I'm not doing my evening one again tonight...I'm not sure if it's finished or not, she just keeps saying she's not going, so I'm going to keep putting the claim forms in....well the hours are booked. Had an enquiry today that I'd had before christmas, I'm so full now I couldn't do any of the hours...I hate turning work away....but I may be superwoman but even I have my limits...albeit legal ones....

Found out today greenwood and pili palas are opening 9 Feb....yeh....need to make the last use of my season tickets before they run out...although I'm sure I'll renew the pili palas one...I don't seem to have used the greenwood one the same with it being further and better for older ones (so I can go on the rollercoaster) I can't do nowt with babies but stand and watch everyone else...no fun.....we were saying the winter seems long when everything closes and even going to feed the ducks is cold and miserable....looking forward to sunshine...mind you they're promising snow this week and gales tonight....oh well nothing we can do about the weather I suppose

Tomorrow the electric is going to be off all day for maintainance so we're off to shels for the morning as soon as everyone arrives.....must remember to fill a flask for when I get back just incase....no tea.....arghhhhh

Childcare and Child Development 0-16 in the home based setting....omg.....lots of research there then as I've only worked with 0-8....I looked at it with the intention of making a start and put it away and went and watched big brother!!

This morning I asked the kids where they wanted to go...choices being Holyhead or Llangeni as I needed the bank, post office and shopping...Holyhead was chosen...

On the way to the car park I saw a cot outside a charity shop so made a dash for there as one of mine broke at the weekend......£20 later it was mine....yeh....good choice kids x and it's a really nice one...not a travel cot as intended but at least it'll match in with my furniture......Had to phone Ron to collect it (I knew he was on Anglesey somewhere) and like a love he came and it's now in the garage...so as soon as he gets home it'll be in the house and cleaned....

Did all the jobs, went round the market, lunch in Tesco then quick peek in Wilkinsons...and came out with loads of files (on offer) couldn't resist as it means my row of files will match and be less likely to end up back in the cupboard and harder to get to...I can't stand ugly clutter...which is a bit mad with my job...but I try.....

Wayne got himself a toy pet carrier from the charity shop for free and the lady gave M a teddy...so they were both pleased...and Waynes learning lol

Wayne found an inflatable banana last night and it came with us everywhere today!!!

We're having a measuring week this week and part of that is doing a height chart for the kids, so M has been done today, Wayne's pinched 2 tape measures and will only let me use the old one. He's so funny, keeps going up to things and producing the tape measure and ....well lets just say he looks a bit like Mummy when she gets an idea for doing things...although Mummy can't always find the tape measure so uses string....cable...anything she can find....it's one of Rons chortles about me...

So now I'm making a curry for tea and awaiting Corrie and Big Bro final....

Lazy moo...

Today I woke up at 11.30!! Good old Ron, he's been getting up with Wayne some weeks so I can lie in...but 11.30!!! What a lazy moo.....

Being as I'd slept so long thought I'd better do something energetic otherwise I won't sleep tonight. (excuses for not relaxing...lol)

So I changed all the beds, cleaned all the windows at the front, pulled Waynes bed out and cleaned underneath (there's been a weird smell and I thought there might be something under there!!!) Found nowt but hoping the smells gone as I don't know what else to do in there!!

Covered lots of sma milk tins in fablon and filled and labelled them with scissors, pritt stick etc....oh to be organised!!!

Got all my files out of the cupboard and put them on top of the sideboard...I'm fed up of struggling to find stuff and with starting the DHC...later...I need everything to hand....just to make life a bit easier....they'll probably drive me nuts in a few weeks and end up back in the cupboard!!

Wayne has blown up skittles (inflatable not tnt) and I did the alley but we ended up not playing as Wayne is using the alley as a bed!! and watching tv...he's been a lazy monkey this weekend not even got dressed...but won't do him any harm.....we both end up worn out with all the activity x

Talking of Wayne, his new trick is to draw people on my windows when they steam up....so my nice clean windows are now smiling too...lol

Had an hour on the phone to Shel and now I'm off to bath Wayne and put him to bed and then have a look at Unit 2 of the Dhc and see what the topic is................

council tax rant!! and off on a tangent!!

Forgot to say...with all my moidering!!!!
Today I filled in a form for the council tax
We received it last week and it's to see if we've gone into a higher band after adding an extension....what????
So we spend 10k on our home to make it better and the f'ing council tax may go up cos now the house is worth more money....
We knew we'd get it but it just seems like madness
What is the world coming too????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It's funny...or not....we've been saying with all that's happening with E, why don't we just sell up and spend the money on doing what we want to do....like get a harley....yeh Ron x but if we did we'd get help with housing, council tax, I'd get tax relief on the rent....don't get it with a mortgage

Cos that was the weird thing, when I asked Ron what he'd do if he was told he hadn't long left he said he'd want to travel around on a harley...america I think....

I sort of think I like my life as it is...no ambitions to travel...in fact I even said I'd still childmind...I love my work and the children, it gives me great personal satisfaction and Wayne loves life as it is...holidays in Haven and lots of play and playmates....I felt like I was a bit sad...but then realised although I work too hard and could do with a bit more 'me time' all I do is maybe a bit boring in the eyes of others but I make the most of every day and try and have fun along the way and although it's hardly jet setting it just me x

Funny really when I was younger and even now when people are like wow I'd really like to meet....some popstar or famous bod......I always thought....hey they're all only people like me...mind you....if Robbie Williams knocked on the door I'd probably swwon...then tell him to p off...what a dog....see no ambition.....

This morning my address came to send off my Quality First portfolio...at last....so hopefully it will come back with a certificate...not more additions!!! mind you it says it takes up to 12 weeks to be assessed!! So as one door closes another DHC door opens.....

I keep thinking I should do less workwise and coursewise....but never get further than thinking!!! Think I'm just one of those people who isn't happy unless they're run ragged..........what's that saying about putting off today what you can do tomorrow....think mine is 'do as much as you can today cos tomorrow you'll find loads more to do'....think I'm thinking too much!!

Anyway today I phoned mum as bro had been to see his new flat...the move in date is now mid March....someone keeps moving the goalposts!!! but sounds great, washing machine, microwave, leather sofa!!! bet he can't wait x

just finished the weekly paperwork and I've done 50+ again this week, no wonder I feel tired, be glad to have a few days off half term....hopefully!!!! I did manage to refuse work yesterday, I was asked by a guy who works in Asda and put him off....well even I have to have limits, especially knowing after half term I may get my variation and have 4 under 5's a couple of days so think I need to recharge my batteries a bit in readiness!!!

So a well earned day off tomorrow, we were going to go and see Rons sis and E, but as we're both full of cold thought best not. Ron spoke to her today and it's her birthday tomorrow and we found out the treatment is for 6 not 2 weeks and then 6 months after....not sure what....they're planning on travelling everyday so Rons offered to do the trip when needed so love and thoughts with them xxxxx

St Dwynwens day

So for anyone wondering what I'm rattling on about with St Dwynwen...here's the story....edited by me for the amusement of Shel and I x

The name Llanddwyn means "The church of St. Dwynwen". She is the Welsh patron saint of lovers, making her the Welsh equivalent of St. Valentine. Her feast day, 25 January, is often celebrated by the Welsh with cards and flowers, just as is 14 February for St. Valentine ....but hey try telling Ronnie and Gel that!!!

Dwynwen lived during the 5th century AD and was one of 24 daughters of St. Brychan, a Welsh prince of Brycheiniog (Brecon). She fell in love with a young man named Maelon, but rejected his advances. This, depending on which story you read, was either because she wished to remain chaste and become a nun or because her father wished her to marry another. She prayed to be released from the unhappy love and dreamed that she was given a potion to do this. However, the potion turned Maelon to ice. She then prayed that she be granted three wishes: 1) that Maelon be revived, 2) that all true lovers find happiness, and 3) that she should never again wish to be married. She then retreated to the solitude of Llanddwyn Island to follow the life of a hermit.


Dwynwen became known as the patron saint of lovers and pilgrimages were made to her holy well on the island. It was said that the faithfulness of a lover could be divined through the movements of some eels that lived in the well. This was done by the woman first scattering breadcrumbs on the surface, then laying her handkerchief on the surface. If the eel disturbed it then her lover would be faithful.
Visitors would leave offerings at her shrine, and so popular was this place of pilgrimage that it became the richest in the area during Tudor times. This funded a substantial chapel that was built in the 16th century on the site of Dwynwen's original chapel. The ruins of this can still be seen today.

Llanddwyn Island

Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn) is a magical place. Located at the far end of a pleasant beach near Newborough Warren, this narrow finger of land is an ideal picnic site during fine weather, but also an exhilarating place when the winter winds blow. So keep away Debbie and Shelly!!!! Its rolling dunes, large rock outcrops and mixture of historic buildings makes it an ideal place for an afternoon of exploration. Losing kids....seeing nudists...yeh theres a nudist beach there!!!! with the welsh weather!! brave x
Llanddwyn is not quite an island. It remains attached to the mainland at all but the highest tides. It provides excellent views of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula and is part of the Newborough Warren National Nature Reserve.

Boot Butties!!

Yesterday Shelly came over with her two and we spent the morning doing St Dwynwens Day crafts with the kids...I excelled myself with heart butties....Shelly was nearly on the floor laughing!! Especially when we asked the kids what shape they were and Wayne said BOOT SHAPE....why do I bother....lol

I'd printed out the story as Shel didn't know it and she's planning on a trip to Llandwyn soon as she's never been....couldn't believe it...we used to go all the time, it's great paddling along the beach there and I've spent many a summer swimming in the coves....mind you not for a few years....Waynes not been yet

The afternoon went downhill, wee on my kitchen chair, wee on my car seat and one screaming for mum and crying...sigh....well it can't all be fun x

Today we did jobs this morning then headed for jumpin jacks, the man Wayne likes was off so he was disappointed, had chips in the cafe then school pick up and home....no wee....no crying....yeh....

Sent off my variation form after spending hours on it!!

Done my invoices for feb...

Paid for the holiday....and added diners choice and linen....wow really splashing out...but bliss for me...

E's been back to Liverpool and is in for 2 weeks intensive treatment, radiotherapy and chemotherapy..xxxxxxx

My Dhc application has come through so lots more work ahead.....

Little O has finally said my name....yeh....so instead of driving us mad calling me mam all day, he now drives us mad saying...Debbie....Wayne...and still Mam....bless him...don't really mean drive me mad...it;s great when they start talking and his words are so clear and new ones all the time....looking forward to caring for him more....one of the best things of the job seeing them develop and sharing in it x

dentist!!

Still not phoned the taxman but managed to phone the dentist at last...we had a letter to cancel an appointment months ago....it turns out our dentist left so we have no dentist!!! but one coming soon....
Went to music club and it was quiet but nice, picked up little o and home for lunch, playdough and just a quiet afternoon. School pick up screamed all the way home, had to carry her to the car...was fine after, but it was awful at the time x
All gone by six and spent the evening watching telly.....still sniffling and now Rons started too....sigh..
Got our confirmation for haven....yeh...and I've upgraded to a silver caravan, and asked if it could be in Snowdonia view...near the entertainment...so time will tell..think we're going to go for the half borad too...well it's no rest if I'm cooking all the time...Wayne was so excited and carried the letter all round music club x
I had my network assessment back and it was really good, and at the end she put that she could see no areas for development...hee hee....look good in my portfolio x
Oh well my mindee is late but I better go and get my work head on......

today we..

....had quite a productive day considering I still feel crap.....
Went to little fishes this morning and made play dough, great fun, then this afternoon we made spiderman cakes which the kids enjoyed....and were eating before they were iced...lol....did some more colouring and drawing and played with blocks for ages
The playdough was a big hit and Wayne sat with the folks at the table all evening making stuff.....
I need to see the taxman and managed to get the phonebook out...but didn't get to call them.....tomorrow maybe....I'm off to catch up with corrie...even giving big brother a miss tonight...but hey eviction tomorrow.....

today between blowing my nose and sneezing we went shopping and ended up buying a hoover...I managed to split the hose on the last one...
got a pressie for mum and dads coming ruby wedding anniversary and a new toilet seat, as due to lots of kids slamming it, it's broken again!!
Met an old work colleague from HB Climbing in Tesco for lunch and caught up, she's living and working nearby now so hopefully we'll meet up again...it was really nice....and the kids were well behaved....until they got fed up and started wrecking the highchairs....lol...time for a sharp exit!!
Ron was off and went to see his mum and then his cousin who's moved down...not seen her for 25 years...mad...things are a bit all over the place at the mo...the news with E is not good and we're all in a spin...
Did a curry for tea and just been for a bath and felt great for half an hour....
Put the new toilet seat on and this afternoon the hoover was tested by the kids....picture this.... me sat drinking tea...kids hoovering...ha ha what a life...I gave Wayne some money though as we've decided he's going to do jobs for me to earn money for his holiday and I think it's good for them to learn about work, money etc....ha slave driver.....perhaps if I paid Ron!!! ha lol don't think he'd fall for it...
I've been on to cssiw to sort out a variation so I can help a mum out...it means upping my numbers temporarily...so forms to fill in and it goes to panel...so hopefully it'll be ok...we'll see................

Dwynval

Cor I'm finding it hard to keep positive and the years only just started!!
I'm full of cold, Rons had the bug and it all seems trivial......
Anyway
Friday we did jumpin jacks and it was fun but little o wasn't too well...
Saturday we had another birthday party, good fun, treasure hunt, decorating ginger bread, pass the parcel and stories...bit like my every day but I didn't have to do it...then called for a chinese and ate it in Grandmas...
Today we decided to go to the Slate Museum to Dwynval, it was really good, all kids enjoyed, they did crafts, making cards and colouring...and I half inched a couple to photo copy for the kids this week...so there's my St dwynwens Day sorted...
We watched a guy make a heart from slate...Wayne said the man talked too much lol
Wandered round the place and of course went in the cafe for a brew......

can't believe I forgot to blog, we collected the tokens and we're off to haven in the easter hols....so something to look forward too...and Rons coming too x

Wayne is much better today, although not eating much.
Spent the morning drawing and doing playdoh, then after dinner I could stand being in no more!!! so went out to find some cheap paper as I've run out of drawing paper for the kids....we failed and came back with a cake mix and other baking stuff....

Amazing....

Well E had the op and they removed the tumour and he had a bit of tea last night....amazing...we're sooo pleased..

On the downside Wayne spent last night throwing up followed by the other end...sigh...so no sleep for me....today we've just been watching tv...I feel like a zombie....no good with no sleep....luckily 3 mindees are off ill so only had to cancel 2....

Yesterday I had my network assessor which went well, she couldn't see any areas for development and asked me if I could think of any....er noooo....

We spent the morning drawing and doing playdoh, went to little fishes, then on to holyhead to the bank, tesco for dinner then home for painting and more drawing.
Wayne did pages of numbers, more work than they'd do in a week at school!!

Wayne seems a lot better this afternoon so hoping I can work tomorrow, and get sleep tonight!!

No I don't fancy the AA man!!

Today we went shopping and then came back home for a bit before the party.

We arrived at the party and some dim wit decided to park half on the grass....after all this rain....yes you guessed...I got stuck!!! the front wheel was well sunk by the time I'd tried numerous times to get out....the kids thought it was hilarious with mud flying at the windscreen....I didn't!!! So took the kids in to the party and phoned the aa....again....well I hadn't used them in 4 years....twice in a week now!!! He came and after laughing at me....same guy as the other day...got me out in no time....phew....
So I missed pass the parcel and the first half of the food, but the kids had a great time.......and there were jibes about me having a thing for the AA man...hah they didn't see him!!
Came home and it was late as we dropped off M on the way and I did a roast for tea...
As predicted E went to Liverpool first thing this morning and they're going to operate first thing tomorrow morning....so fingers crossed all ends well...I'm really feeling for them both tonight.................

What a start to 2008!

Well we're still waiting...in a way....E's got a brain tumour and as soon as they've got a bed in Liverpool he's off....typical...as soon as we found out on Friday I said 'weekend' why does everything stop?? Anyway he's in the right place and 'ok' (as he can be) so hopefully tomorrow he'll go and they can find out more, hopefully they'll be able to do something, no point thinking the worst x

Wayne had a birthday party yesterday, bouncy castle in the leisure centre, took the twins too....needed eyes in the back of my head to keep them all in check x they were all good though and Wayne was purple from bouncing!! they have a tots thing on a weds with the bouncy castle but it clashes with my school pick up, shame...

Today I was off....yeh....needed it too... done 53 hours this week not including paperwork! As usual though I did bed changing, paperwork, cooking, printing development files etc etc, although Ron got up with Wayne so I had a lie in...well until Wayne could bare me not being up no more and jumped on my head!! charming....

I've put Waynes steps on his bunk bed today being as the little ones don't go in his room now, so he's excited and keeps going up there, lost my storage space though it was handy to keep spare duvets and baby chairs!!

We've got another birthday party tomorrow so I've been wrapping a present and now I'm off to do the card with Wayne x

car sorted..

Had a nice morning in shels then headed for the garage. It was the wrong wheel and there were 4 guys wandering round the forecourt obviously looking for a replacement, so another car there will have an odd wheel!!
Went from there to school pick up, little girl had letter for after school club, £4 a session...hmm may lose her then!!
Had a call about b.i.law and he's gone worse and back in hospital, talking mumbo jumbo and hallucinating so not looking good, he's having a scan today so we wait...

What a day!!!!

Went to music club yesterday and on the way heard a big bang.....6 miles later got to music club, went in, and everyone that followed told me I'd got a puncture....whoops.....
Some nice man there said he'd help, despite the cold wind, and we got the wheel off and couldn't get the spare on!! when we'd worked out how to get it from under the car!!! So phoned the aa, 2 hours later it was sorted, luckily just at the end of the music session. Cost me a tenner to fix the puncture and I was fuming about the spare wheel not fitting!!! and it was flat!!
Got home and phoned the garage where I bought the car and they said it would fit....hmmm...aa man or woman on phone??!! So this afternoon I'm off to ats to see what they say before I go guns blazing into the garage........
In the afternoon I picked up new 3 month mindee....ahhhh...he was lovely...and it went well...Wayne was so excited....
Didn't work at night and mums quitting college so not sure if I'll be going again.
Today it's pouring down and windy, off to shels this morning....just waiting for mindee to arrive and inbetween typing getting Wayne dressed as Batman!!!

I resolve to relax!!!! huh

Lucky my new years resolution wasn't to blog everyday!!

Lunch at Kays was relaxing and lovely. They're lambing and there was a lamb in the kitchen...ahhhh...unfortunately one died while we were there, then came back, and later died again....ahhh....Wayne had a great time playing and we saw the calves, horse, lambs, chicken and Wayne was taken with the dog...it's so like my Roxy was...no more dogs here though, especially not while I'm childminding...

I spent a day taking the decorations down...and ended up pulling out the tumble dryer and fridge,,,and freezer and having a good clean....we got everything up in the attic and got all the baby stuff down...(not for me!!) and as usual the next few days have been spent finding more xmas stuff round the house...huh and mistletoe in the car....and me buying more!! bargains....I got loads of really cheap crafts for next year from tesco for 50p and less...pom pom santas, finger puppets, nativity scenes, so that's next years crafts sorted!!!

Had a disater day with the twins which resulted in one with a black eye and the other with a nose and mouth bleed....seperate incidients...horrible feeling though...they were both ok, but i felt awful....

Went to pili palas yesterday and it was CLOSED....NOOOOOOO...so we ended up in tesco having lunch and wandering....and getting my bargains...did I mention a light up santa!!!

Today I saw Shel at last....missed her over christmas and she's had her 20 week scan....time flies...saw the pic today in little fishes....the afternoon was spent making mega blocks creations...we must have been at it 2 hours!!

Folks for tea tonight and tomorrow I start with 3 month old O....ahhhhhh can't wait.

done my final nutrition policy for the network

studied my accounts to make sure I'm inline for not paying tax!

started collecting tokens for haven....need something to look forward to

phew no wonder I'm tired....I'm on 6 days a week now for the foreseeable so wanted to catch up....my day off needs to be spent off.....not doing paperwork

And to end my b.i.law had a fit again yesterday...in the landrover (passenger)...he's ok but it's a worry and Rons sis must be out of her mind x

bit of a delay there, been busy
New Years eve was spent with jools and the fireworks here at midnight were crap, it was misty.....my phone went bananas and I sent messages to mates which wouldn't go, then I got a message saying stop sending the message!! uhh... someone had got it!! so gave up and off to bed

new years day up early for work and had a quiet day in....just went for a walk to see the horses and made calendars for twins mum

2 Jan lazy morning then off to argos in holyhead to get storage boxes, went into town to the bank and nipped to netto. While we were in argos saw a travel cot half price....but no stock, so went from there to bangor to get it! by this time it was nearly tea time so went to Rons work and we went to the pub next door for a meal for tea....nice.....portions a bit small....but nice...then home to fill boxes and put up cot....ooh also bought a solar light shrek in woolies...reduced from £30 to £7....and bought a braider off ebay for a £1...

3 Jan work again.....4 kids so went to pili palas....they all had a great time...and I got to cuddle the radiator....it's sooo cold...came home and we all flopped in front of the telly......Disappointed today as the snow they'd forecast was non existent!!

4 Jan that's today huh.....woken up by the postman with my braider....yehhh....spent an hour knotting my hair!! Got slightly excited about a sprinkling of snow, rang Ron and that's the most he's seen and he's in pwllheli....oh well....and now I'm off to get dressed and go for lunch at kays...
must get going with the removing decorations too, don't want the goblins to get me...
