Well Wayne nearly didn't go to grandmas...he was a little sod in the morning, but being as grandma would have been upset took him..and he had a good day...me too....just 2 little ones, we went to jumpin jacks, chips in the cafe and after school spent an hour with s, 8 doing playdoh and chatting....
Day off today and did the usual bed changing, washing...blah blah....failed a lie in due to Wayne waking me up, then the postman knocking on the door...then I just gave up...lol....
The postman had brought a new toy for the childminding which Wayne and I have been playing tonight, it's really good, click start computer. It's a bit young for Wayne in some ways but hoping it will help with phonics, he's still having problems with Fish (tish) and he's a bit of a Jonathan Woss....been investigating and don't think it's a problem, just he's behind in his phonological...or some twaddle... but it did prove tonight to work a bit as he was saying Four...not Tor...
I've never been into these educational toys that teach your children....just letting them sit on their own and learn...but thought it might be worth a try...and it's good for letters...he can type his name and other words but avoids some letters for some unknown reason!!!
Just read that back.....it's not a 'problem' at all.....I've always just let Wayne develop at his pace.....you know......breastfed til he gave up, toilet trained when he was ready, but of course now he's of school age any 'differences' are bound to be due to my inability to teach him...lol
Oh yeh he went out of pull ups at night last week.....most people would be horrified that he was still in them at 'nearly 5' but I just let him decide...and I've had not one night of bed changing...like I've had not too many accidents with him...and no humiliation for him....being wet...feeling like a failure....ha ha bet he'll wet the bed tonight...lol....and I got loads of pull ups from tesco bogof....and shredded the receipt!!!....oh well they'll do for someone
Anyway enough rattling...work tomorrow.....I've been trying to find a holiday for the summer hols....brit trips (walkers) don't do summer ones...nor do the tokens for the sun....and I can't go til then...so frustating as one of the advantages of home edding is being able to holiday out of season and save loads of money....but not when you're a childminder with school teachers for parents....I can't bear to pay over £500 for a week in haven when I normally pay not much more than £100...will have to look out for a last minute...am I still rattling...lol....
